Tune In Tuesday: IndyCar’s Will Power

Good morning, sports fans and more importantly to our race fans!  We’re featuring our beloved son and man on a mission in the 2012 hunt for the IndyCar title:  Will Power.

Will’s won the last three IndyCar events in a row and is kicking some major hides in the IndyCar standings right now over his teammate (and also very good looking) Helio Castroneves.

But today, we’re saluting Will in the most fitting way possible:  with an awesomely awful Australian band tribute. Why?

Because Will is from the land down under and did I mention he’s very physically appealing?  Glad you agree.

Silverchair – “Straight Lines”

So this first video is a pun on racing because many assume racing is just all left turns, right?  They drive in “straight lines” too.  That and Silverchair is one of my all-time favorite bands.

Wolfmother – “Woman/Love Train”

This only reason I have this song on this list is because it makes me want to do unspeakable things to Will and that’s the end of that story.  What woman wouldn’t?  The end.

AC/DC – “Thunderstruck”

In a simple phrase this song epitomizes how Will is crushing the IndyCar series in the last three weeks.  He’s won the last three races in a row and has simply left the rest of the series thunderstruck.

Jet – “Are You Gonna Be My Girl?”

This song just makes me want to drive really fast, preferably in an IndyCar going about 200+ miles per hour.  Oh, and Jet is Australian and they broke up last month.  Isn’t that sad?  Love this band.

INXS – “New Sensation”

That’s right.  Will is IndyCar’s latest, greatest and newest driving sensation.  I would imagine this song would get the fans out of their seats during driver introductions if Will played this song.

Air Supply – “Every Woman In The World”

Every woman in the world should want to have dinner with Will Power…or a million of his babies.  Just saying.  And I couldn’t have an Australian band tribute without Air Supply.

Sick Puppies – “You’re Going Down”

My final selection is a direct message to the rest of the IndyCar series on behalf of Will Power admirers everywhere.  It’s Will’s time and the IndyCar title should be his and he’s not going down.
