Poor David...

When it rains, it pours, huh?  Well, this week we saw yet another hit to females in sports.  Let me catch you up to speed.

On Monday, we were presented with this video of a female St. Louis reporter who was going to ride the new Mr. Freeze roller coaster at Six Flags with Cardinals third baseman David Freese.  Seems harmless, right?  Well, just watch the video.

Anybody else concerned that this chick might kidnap David and tie him up in her basement?  Just wait until November before you kidnap, K?  We’ll also need him back by March.

And that wasn’t even the worst of it.  Then Tuesday, Simon Borg, the co-host of MLS’ official podcast Extra Time Radio, informed us diehard female sports fans that we are not hot.

A little snippet from the podcast (which has now been taken down):

“It’s fine if you want to be a ‘super fan’ and you are a female. That’s fine, that’s your choice. But there is something to be said about how appealing that might be to the other sex. Just having a woman that’s such a fan, painting your face, tuning into every podcast … I don’t know how many males are into that.”

It’s cool for women to be into it. But for the guy that wants to be in a serious relationship, do you really want that? … But if you are such a die-hard, there might be a point where that becomes a turn off.”

You know what’s not hot?  Dimwitted podcast hosts.

Enough with the losers of the week.  You want to know who the winner of the week was?  America.  Why?  Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and Kristin Cav are apparently having a BOY.  PHEW!  God knows we don’t need another Kristin Cav running around.
