Overseas Love
Today, Lou Korac reported on Twitter that our boys have been doing REALLY well in the World’s exhibition games.
So far we know a few things:
- Halak-ness Monster had 12 stops for Slovakia in a 6-1 win over Belarus.
- Technoviking centered Sweden’s top line and had an assist in a 4-2 win over the Czech Republic.
- Tarasenko (we need a nickname for him) played LW on Russia’s third line.
- France went down to our Canadian boys, with Petro having an assist on the first goal, and CHRISGODDAMNSTEWART picking up the GWG.
Fun story. When I retweeted the one about Petro and CGDS, I actually said CGDS to save characters, and a couple people thought Lou actually said it, which, while it would have been amazing, was not the case. That’s ok though.
I love that our guys are getting playing time and working on their games, and I’m SO PROUD of how the way that they’ve stepped up in just exhibition games.
Actual play starts on Friday, with quite a few of our boys’ teams playing. Full schedule can be found here.
Even though a lot of them will eventually play against each other, I’m pulling for great performances for all of them.
LET’S GO BLUES!!!
