Red Wings at Blues, airing at 630pm CST on Versus NBC Sports Network.
Two more home games, three more games left. That doesn’t even feel possible. Didn’t the season just start yesterday?
We have reached a point in the season where some people will hop right off the bandwagon. That’s right, the Cardinals start their season today. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Cardinals. They, however, can wait.
This is still hockey season. This is a Blues team worth my attention.
Speaking of those Blues, and the fact that they’re at home tonight, this is their last chance to guarantee they walk away with a season split with the Motor City rivals. In the last five games, the home team has won every time.
This bodes well.
Not to mention the fact that, still (and it feels very foreign to write this), the entire lineup is healthy. I mean, just LOOK at that fourth line. When your fourth line is made up of Langenbrunner, Sobotka, and Reaves, you know there isn’t much to complain about.
Here’s hoping Brian Elliott’s shutout streak continues. Here’s hoping Hitch’s balls-to-the-wall practice the other day cleared Saturday’s game against the BJs out of their heads and refocused them on what is important.
Winning. Tonight, Friday, the rest of this season, and throughout the playoffs.
We want the cup.
LET’S GO BLUES!!!!
