Weight Watchers: A Plan!

That’s certainly not the right direction to be going in…

Last week, I was complaining about how I’ve lost my motivation (and will power). Well, I wish I could say this week is different. I will say that I was pretty good this past week. Personally, I think the last few weeks (not this past one) were the cause of the gain. I was actually pretty good this past week sans a Memorial Party or two.

In order to get myself going into the right direction, I’ve concocted a plan:

  1. No alcohol until June 8 (my friend’s wedding). I’ll reevaluate post-wedding.
  2. Workout at least 30 minutes a day this week. Currently, I’m trying to go to my yoga class everyday after work and then walking at least 5 miles/day on the weekends. (Again, I’ll reevaluate next week.)
  3. Eat 1 more fruit or vegetable at lunch and dinner. (Something I’ve been slacking on, which I think has a direct correlation to my lack of success lately.)

All this said, I’m quite happy with the success I’ve had so far. I’m EXTREMELY close to a weight that I haven’t seen in over 2 years (210 lbs) and feeling better than I have in years. (Amazing what a regular workout routine can do, huh?) Oh, and guys, I ran 2 miles IN A ROW over the weekend. TWO WHOLE MILES…2 days in a row. Yeah, that’s not normal, but I’ll take it.

Next week, I’ll reevaluate these goals and let you know how I did. Hopefully, the scale will play along, too.
