SHAPE 400-Calorie Fat Blast features three quick fifteen-minute workouts. Along
with the warm-up and cool down, each workout clocks in at about 25 minutes–perfect for a quick workout during this busy holiday season.
The workouts are led by instructor Keri Crockett. Olympic swimmer Summer Sanders co-stars. Crockett is no nonsense but friendly. Sanders does a lot of chatting and shows modifications on many of the moves.
This workout is intense and could be appropriate for intermediate and advanced exercisers. There are moves such as burpees, jump squats, and kicks. It’s not the most fun you’ll ever have working out, but it’s a fairly intense workout in a short amount of time. Be forewarned–the warm-up is not much of a warm-up. It starts with running and jumping moves.
The title of the video is likely misleading. A single fifteen-minute workout is unlikely to burn 400 calories, and even by combining the three workouts, an exerciser may not burn that many calories.
A pair of hand weights are required, and a mat is suggested.
