Kim Kardashian’s Ultimate Butt Body Sculpt Workout

Even celebs who make workout videos have trouble keeping to a workout schedule. Take Kim Kardashian, for example.

A few days ago, Kardashian tweeted:

I don’t keep up with the Kardashians, but I do know my exercise videos. So, Kardashian’s “Fit in Your Jeans by Friday” was on my radar.

I was a bit reluctant about trying the workouts. Workouts led by celebrities (who are not fitness professionals) can be good, but they can also be very, very bad.

Instead of buying, I rented Kim Kardashian’s Ultimate Butt Body Sculpt from Netflix.

First and foremost, Kardashian had the good sense to work with experienced trainers in her workouts. Ultimate Butt Body Sculpt features Jennifer Galardi.

Galardi is known for making fun dance-inspired workouts, such as Crunch: Fat Burning Dance Blast and 10 Minute Solution: Dance It Off and Tone It Up.

Ultimate Butt Body Sculpt features two workout segments. The first is a 15 minute regime that includes classic toners (squats, lunges) and balance challenges (single leg dead lifts). The second workout uses a step and features plyometrics and more toning moves. The video also includes a warm-up and cool down stretch. There is also a bonus seven-minute floor routine.

The workout is probably best suited for beginners (and Kardashian fans), although seasoned exercisers can add hand weights for extra challenge. Galardi provides good pointers and cues. Kardashian adds her own comments throughout the workout (such as pointing out what mistakes she used to make while doing certain moves and how to use proper form).

Once you get past the fact that Kim is working out in a strange get-up that includes a lacy pink bra, it’s an okay workout–but one I had no trouble returning to Netflix.
