I have to tell you–I really like FitnessGlo, a great service offering online fitness classes.
For a monthly fee, subscribers have access to all of the website’s classes. Unlike Flirty Girl Fitness Live, the classes are not recorded live. FitnessGlo classes are studio productions which are filmed in Santa Monica.
There are a wide variety of classes available on the website, and there are workouts appropriate for absolute beginners to advanced exercisers.
The videos feature a stellar group of instructors, including Michelle Dozois, Amy Dixon, Ilyse Baker, and Petra Kolber.
Users can select workouts that are 5-45 minutes long. Class styles are cardio (athletic, dance, and step), toning (total body, lower body, upper body, and core), and stretching. There’s also “Click & Glo,” which are workouts that include cardio, strength, and stretch. The website also has “Balance” workouts, which challenge the core and help develop balance.
Many of the workouts require equipment, such as hand weights and a step. There are also workouts that require no equipment, so the service is good for travelers.
The site is extremely easy to navigate, and it’s easy to find workouts based on length, instructor, level, or style. The website also has suggested 8-week programs for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
The classes are streamed on the internet, not downloaded. The content is updated frequently, so there are new workouts every month.
FitnessGlo costs $12/month, which is billed to a credit card until you cancel. That’s about the cost of a workout DVD, so I think it’s a great deal. If you’re just not sure you want to commit to the website, FitnessGlo offers a free 7-day trial.
