Brian Urlacher is no longer singled-out!  See what I did there (and if you’re too young to not get that joke, then I have nothing to say to you!!)?  Hahahahah.  Anyway, rumor has it (actually it’s been confirmed, but why stop with the awful puns?) that Jenny McCarthy and Mr. Urlacher are no longer the NFL player-Celeb That’s Not a Kardashian item of the minute.

I don’t think they were together very long (four months or so) and I was seriously questioning Brian’s judgement on this one.  Jenny is…how do I put this nicely…not the freshest flower in the vase, and he can do better.  Also, since the season is upon us and he just had arthroscopic knee surgery, perhaps it’s best for him to focus on football rather than a relationship.

Jenny made a statement to People mag that they will remain friends.  Since I barely paid attention to their relationship I am not going to speculate on its demise.  That being said, I can’t imagine that dating a professional athlete of ANY sport is easy, what with the traveling and constant practices and fans of the opposite sex flinging themselves at your significant other left and right.  Jenny seems like a gal that would want someone who could commit time and energy to both her and her son, so I’m not sure Urlacher is the guy for that job.

Either way, it seems like the split was amicable, so that’s good at least.  The last thing we need is another Kardashian-Bush-Humphries-West-RayJ fiasco.
