Senior Writer
Welcome to Washington Nationals coverage from Aerys Sports, the first online sports network run entirely by women. I’m Keara, and I’m the lead writer and correspondent for the Nats.
I’m a DC native and love all my local teams. I’ve been going to baseball games since I was little, whether it was going to minor league games with the Fredrick Keys or over to Camden Yards for the Baltimore Orioles. In 2005, we were finally given our own team again as baseball was re-embraced into the city.
The team finally got it’s own park a few years ago, rooting baseball back in DC long term. We all breathlessly await Teddy’s first win in the Racing Presidents.
I love all sports, and always root for my DC/MD/VA teams. If you have any photos or fun tidbits you want to share, email them in! Our site it at its best when our readers get involved!

I’m Kristen, a native of the DC area biased to baseball and hockey and a correspondent for the Win For Teddy blog. I grew up watching the Baltimore Orioles while patiently waiting and wishing for a hometown baseball team in the District. In 2005 the Nationals moved to DC from Montreal, granting mine (not to mention my dad’s wish) and I instantly became hooked on the team. I haven’t looked back since.
These days I enjoy having the opportunity to write about baseball and I look forward to the day the team finishes (well) above .500, lock up a playoff spot and fill the ballpark (and maybe even ballpark of opposing teams) with the signature Nationals red and navy and the curly W.
