It’s been all of 3 days since pitchers and catchers reported (for the Nationals) and already, a tumblr called “Bad Spring Training Twitpics” has popped up, highlighting all the bad, blurry and seemingly pointless photos that beat writers take at Spring Training. Of course there genuinely are some bad photos that just leave you wondering “and what exactly was the point of that?!” and “why did you just instagr.am that?” But, the Nationals beat writers’s photos would not be included in this motley bunch of photos on tumblr since they have a higher standard (naturally).

But that doesn’t mean they’re not trying. With this new tumblr, the beat reporters are doing their best to not only get news out on Spring Training, but twitpic each other taking twitpics. Gotta love a team who’s reporters have a sense of humor.

Now how could any of these possibly be bad?! Precisely. (And phone quality is only so good, right?) But it really is good to see Ramos back and in Nats gear catching and to see Strasburg fully healthy and ready to go, throwing the baseball. And as for Jayson Werth, we’ll leave that one up to you.
