    The years of the 11 World Series Championships-1926, 1931, 1934, 1942, 1944, 1946, 1964, 1967, 1982, 2006, and somehow 2011!

  2. Michael says:

    Really? This was the question? I’ll do you one better and name all the years the Cardinals have won pennants or have gone to the postseason. And stand back, it’s an impressive list: 1926, 1928, 1930, 1931, 1934, 1942, 1943, 1944, 1946, 1964, 1967, 1968, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2011.

And as far as the World Championships, here’s who they beat: 1926, the Yankees; 1931, the Philadelphia A’s; 1934, the Tigers; 1942, the Yankees; 1944, the St. Louis Browns; 1946, the Sawx; 1964, the Yankees; 1967, the Sawx again; 1982, the Brewers; 2006, the Tigers again; and 2011, the Rangers.

    Who needs Google?

    1926, 1931, 1934, 1942, 1944, 1946, 1964, 1967, 1982, 2006, 2011

2011 has now surpassed 1982 for most favorite!

  4. crober72 says:

    1926, 1931, 1934, 1942, 1944, 1946, 1964, 1967, 1982, 2006, 2011

82 is still my favorite…that was the series that made me a baseball fan. Still have an unopened souvenir coke that my grandfather bought for me after game 7. He passed away last January, and I’m fairly certain that he is somehow responsible for the 2011 title.

    1926, 1931, 1934, 1942, 1944, 1946, 1964, 1967, 1982, 2006, 2011

1982 is the first one I was around for. Made me forever a fan of Willie McGee. 1985 and 1987 were hard to take (especially 1985). 2006 made it right again but it was almost anti-climatic. That is, I felt it was more difficult to beat the Mets than it was to beat the Tigers (Thank you Carlos Beltran, you’ll forever be frozen in our minds). I don’t think any of those seasons compare to 2011 though. Waino getting hurt, bad relief pitching, bad fielding, a Puma back on the prowl, Albert “struggling,” Unicorns in the outfield, a trade for Corey Patterson, 78 year old Octavio Dotel, 83 year old Arthur Rhodes, Ryan Braun face planting, Carlos Marmol’s save, Moths in ears, Happy Flights, Carp dominating the Astros, the Braves blowing it, Tortoises, Shane Victorino throwing it backwards, Squirrels, Nyjer welcoming the Phillies to Milw, Allen Craig, Carp outdueling Halladay, Nyjer looking like a fool in the outfield, Yadi being clutch, David Freese hitting any pitch anywhere, Allen Craig again, 3 home runs in 1 series game, a bullpen call to nowhere. Game 6. We’re gonna lose. Freese! Damn you Hamilton. Puma! Freese! We’ll see ya tomorrow night. Allen Craig again, Carp, Great relief pitching…fly ball to Craig, ballgame! World Champs.

This would be a perfect gift for my mother who is one of the biggest cardnial fans.
The years are 2011,2006,1982,1967,1964,1946,1944,1942,1934,1931 and 1926.
Hope you can help me out in greating a great gift for my Mom.

Since I missed out on the promotion, I’m hoping to win a set :-)

    1926 (Yankees), 1931 (Philadelphia A’s), 1934 (Tigers), 1942 (Yankees), 1944 (St. Louis Browns), 1946 (Red Sox), 1964 (Yankees), 1967 (Red Sox), 1982 (Brewers), 2006 (Tigers), 2011 (Rangers).

My dad used to tell me stories of the teams of the 40s, but it’s pretty cool to think that I’ve been alive for 5 of the 11 titles.

  9. Christy says:

    Pick me, pick me!

    2011, 2006, 1982, 1967, 1964, 1946, 1944, 1942, 1934, 1931, 1926

Enjoyed this year’s series, but I do have fond teen memories of the 82 series. :)

(Unless past contest winners are ineligible) I would love to have this set, although I might end up using games 2, 4, and 5 as coasters instead of actually watching them!

    They have won a championship as a member of the National League in 2011, 2006, 1982, 1967, 1964, 1946, 1944, 1942, 1934, 1931 and 1926.

They tied for or won the championship as a member of the American Association in 1885 (tie) and 1886 (won outright).

However, MLB does not include the two in the 1880s as part of the Cardinals total number of titles.

  22. sportschick1 says:

Cardinals World Series Champions in 1926, 1931 1934 1942 1944 1946 1964 1967 1982 2006 2011. I’ve been around for 3 of those and while 06 was fun because I was too little to really “get” the 82 Series, so it was the 1st I could enjoy, the 2011, by virtue of game 6, is my favorite.

  23. dfreese23 says:

1926 (vs. Yankees), 1931 (vs. A’s), 1934 (vs. Tigers), 1942 (vs. Yankees), 1944 (vs. Browns), 1946 (vs. Red Sox), 1964 (vs. Yankees), 1967 (vs. Red Sox), 1982 (vs. Brewers), 2006 (vs. Tigers), 2011 (vs. Rangers).

Would love to add the 2011 edition to my 2006 one.

  24. lsmurphy says:

82 will always hold a special place in my heart, but 06 had such a great finish and 11 had the best Game 6 in history…. So hard to really pick a fave.

  25. ibeemi says:

    1926, 1931, 1934, 1942, 1944, 1946, 1964, 1967, 1982, 2006, and 2011. Although I attended all games in 2006 which I’ll remember fondly, 2011 was ah-mazing!!

  26. cardsfaninbigd says:

1926, 1931, 1934, 1942, 1944, 1946, 1964, 1967, 1982, 2006, 2011. This year’s has to by far be the best one of all, considering that they weren’t even supposed to be there, especially after falling 10 games out in late August.

  27. hawkelly says:

    The St. Louis Cardinals have won the World Series in 1926, 1931, 1934, 1942, 1944, 1946, 1964, 1967, 1982, 2006, and 2011.

For me, none was sweeter than 2011 because I was there and I was able to share the journey with the wonderful writers for this site and many who have commented here. :)
