Go ahead laugh. This season is turning into a completely laughable experience.
Every time I turn around, it seems like another player hits the DL, another error leads to a Loss and another home-run is served.
Yup. That’s today’s game. That’s the season.
The Phillies scored in the first. Yunel Escobar ties the game in the bottom of the 2nd with a solo shot.
Phillies scored 3 on a John Mayberry Jr. line drive home run that barely cleared the left field wall.
And the game continued.
Cliff Lee pitched well. He pitched 7 innings, gave up a season high of 11 hits, while striking out only 3, but only 3 of the runs were credited to him. He was able to get the ball where he needed to go, when he needed it there.
The laughable part came in the bottom of the 8th, when Jimmy Rollins made another error. He threw a ball that was intended for the second baseman clear to right field foul line. That allowed 2 runs to score.
If he didn’t make that error, the damage would have been minimalized and we had a chance to win.
This team is playing so bad right now, that a decision must be made: Laugh or Cry.
I’m cho0sing to laugh. I have to laugh so I don’t cry with frustration. What about you? What is your choice?
