Happy Thursday y’all. Only 49 more days till the NFL season kicks off!
Here is a quick recap of Wednesday’s news to get your day started.
- On Wednesday, Rob Gronkowski didn’t feel like talking about Aaron Hernandez. When CBS News’ Dan Dahler asked Gronk about Hernandez, Gronk replied with “Next question. I learned that from Drew Rosenhaus.” Dahler than proceeded to ask another Hernandez related question and once again got a “no comment” from Gronk. Pro tip: Might not be the best thing to ask Patriot players’ their feelings on Aaron Hernandez.
- The Detroit Lions announced that they released RB Jahvid Best on Wednesday, who battled concussions during his three seasons in the NFL.
- Brian Crushing, who has been recovering from a torn ACL, has received full clearance to return to practice from Dr. James Andrews and will be ready when training camp opens.
- DeSean Jackson was on First Take on Wednesday and declared Michael Vick would beat out Nick Foles as the Eagles starting quarterback next season.
