Griese/Hutchinson/Woods Champions For Children’s Hearts Weekend

This weekend kicks off another year of the Griese/Hutchinson/Woodson Champions For Children’s Hearts Weekend.

Brian Griese was the quarterback of the 1997 National Championship Michigan football team. Steve Hutchinson was an offensive lineman, and everyone knows who Charles Woodson is—Heisman Trophy winner and cornerback/wide receiver of that team.

I’ve often wrote about what it means to be a “Michigan Man”. You can also put a “wo” in front of the man. But these three men are wonderful examples of what it means to be a Michigan athlete and to continue to make a different in the lives of so many year after year without ever touching a football. Hutchinson and Woodson are still playing in the NFL, Griese isn’t. This is the sixth year they have worked together to put on this event supporting the University of Michigan’s Motts Children’s Hospital.

On Friday, there is the VIP Kickoff Dinner AND the Mott Takeover of radio station WTKA am 1050 from 6 am til 6 pm.
