Miami Dolphins WR Chad Ochocinco (or is he calling himself Chad Johnson again?) wedded reality TV star Evelyn Lozada on July 4th in Mexico.

Before we get to the actual wedding, let’s look back on an act of kindness by Chad.  On Tuesday, a women tweeted Chad for some prayers following the loss of her husband:

First off, what other athlete would offer a fan on twitter an invitation to one of their most  special days of their life. Lemme answer that for you, the likelihood is no one else than Chad Ochocinco, err Johnson. Chad gets a bad rap for his on-the-field antics but he is one of the best athletes when it comes to athlete-fan interaction.  You’ll always see him tweet to his fans offering the first 20 or so fans to show up at such-and-such place will get dinner or something.

Chad gave his followers his day before thoughts on getting married to the love of his life:

The act of kindness of inviting a grieving fan to his wedding wasn’t just a PR stunt for Chad. It was just Ochocinco being Chad because on July 4th, Evelyn and Chad said “I do” and Cheryl was there to celebrate.

Chad also gave his 3+ million fans on twitter a play-by-play of his wedding day as if we were there alongside Cheryl:

It’s nice to know Chad has a soft side.

Although he didn’t tweet the vows, he assured everyone they said “I do!”

That picture makes me feel all warm inside.  There are good people in the world and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson is one of them.  Chad and Evelyn made someone else’s day on the day that was suppose to be about them.
