This is the part of the show where we usually post something Twitter-related to the field of sports. I was thinking about doing something related to the whole Darren Rovell to ESPN deal. There’s just one teensy, tiny problem: Twitter has been dealing with outages today.

As of now, it is an on-going issue that the engineers at Twitter are working on as we speak. Until then, we’ll probably have to deal with outages for the rest of the day.

Now normal people would be calm and rational and just do other stuff. They would be productive and get work done that maybe they weren’t while they were checking out Twitter.

That’s not the case with all people though, and yes, this includes all the Aerys writers. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that there might be some panicking about no Twitter.

I’d show tweets of all the freakouts, but Twitter is down again. If you want to see some real time stuff on Twitter being down, you can always check it out here. Of course, that is also counting the Facebook posts.

Oh, it’s also been discussed on Google+. But please, and I really mean please, don’t talk about Twitter being down on Google+. Those who are on Google+ will make fun of you.

But let me take this time to assure you Twitter will be back up and running. Let the Twitter Engineers do their engineering magic. The site will be back up and running consistently and soon enough we can all get back to yelling about sports, Rovell and Justin Bieber.
