Friday FAIL: Jerry Jones And The Glory…Hole?…Days

The Home of the Glory…wait…what?

I know we’ve been all about the Olympics around here lately (can you blame us?), but we want to take a break from the action in London to bring you this interview, courtesy of Jerry Jones…

Cowboys Stadium Featured On TNT’s Dallas

I watched the premiere of TNT’s Dallas on Wednesday, and now I have the theme song stuck in my head. During the opening credits, that iconic music was played over images of Dallas’ most famous landmarks, including Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. (Just as the original Dallas featured Texas Stadium.)

The perfect location for your next meeting

As one would expect from Dallas, the show features plenty of scheming, betrayal, and love for the hometown football team.

The classic rivalry between Ewing brothers Bobby (Patrick Duffy) and J.R. (Larry Hagman) is renewed, but the next generation has picked up the family feud. J.R.’s son, John Ross, wants to put the family business back on top by drilling for oil on the family’s land, while Christopher is looking into alternative energy options. Uh-oh…looks like a tug-o-war for control of the Ewing empire.

Let the backstabbing begin.

In the final scene of the pilot, John Ross has a clandestine meeting about a real estate deal with pseudo-conservationist and zillionaire Marta del Sol (Leonor Varela) on the 50-yard-line of the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, right on the blue star.

How ridiculous is that?!

Tune In Tuesday: Dallas Cowboys

Football season has come and gone, and my beloved Dallas Cowboys had another one of those seasons: a not so good one.

Being a life-long Cowboys fan who can remember the actual domination by the team, this is disappointing, but now has become standard procedure.

Though Dallas is on a down time, well more appropriately a down decade (or almost two), they still are one of the best franchises in all of Pro football, let alone sports. People love to hate America’s team and their accomplishments.

I think of this song every time I see a player who I would have loved to be on the Cowboys, but of course is not, so this is just about everyone.

Monday Morning Motivation: Miles Austin

Miles Austin has struggled with a hamstring injury for most of this season for the Dallas Cowboys, but that doesn’t mean he struggles in the looks department.

Have you seen the Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver shirtless? Well now you can say you have…

Besides being easy on the eyes, when Miles is healthy he is a force for the ‘Boys. Austin came to the Cowboys undrafted in 2006 and worked his way into the starting rotation after the Cowboys released Terrell Owens. Austin has had back to back Pro-Bowls (2009, 10) and holds the Cowboys franchise record in receiving yards in one game at 250.

Unfortunately for Miles, he also is known for briefly dating Kim Kardashian, but you can’t hold that against him too much. Everyone has been known to date her. Or marry her.

Fortunate for Cowboys fans, we get to see him for at least another 6 years. In 2010 he signed a six-year contract extension that will kick in beginning in 2011.

Happy Monday!
