If you’re one of those folks whose knowledge of European soccer players comes from watching Bend it Like Beckham, you’ve probably missed out on gorgeous Dutch footballer Robin van Persie. Since 2004, “Van Persie” and “Arsenal” have gone hand in hand, as RVP became the face of the English Premier League club, its captain and leading striker with 30 goals scored as last season.

Well, no longer.  Van Persie has been stirring up the headlines of late, as he just completed a move from Arsenal to Manchester United, which he admitted was the team the “little boy inside me was screaming for.”

Van Persie makes his debut for United today against Everton (2:55pm ET on ESPN2) so what better way to introduce him to our readers than a little Monday motivation? While we don’t have many shots of RVP flashing his muscles, that smile is definitely enough motivation for this Monday…
