It boggles the mind that Monday Morning Motivation has gone on this long without a post about arguably one of the most handsome men in hockey. I suppose this is because I haven’t gotten off of my behind and written one myself. Well, today, I am rectifying this grave error.
He’s number 10 in your programs, but number one in your hearts (and perhaps other, lower places) — the Chicago Blackhawks’ very own Patrick Sharp.
I guess this is where I should extol the value of Sharp as a player, but, uh…
I keep getting distracted. Ahem. Anyway, Sharp is –
Sharp is one of two alternate captains on the Blackhawks. He’s been on the team since the dark days of 2006, when he was traded to Chicago from the Philadelphia Flyers for Matt Ellison (Who? Exactly).
It would go down as one of the most lop-sided trades in the past ten years.
Sharp has scored at least 20 goals in every season he’s been with the Blackhawks. He was on the 2010 Stanley Cup-winning team and was named All-Star MVP in 2011.
He married his college sweetheart, Abby, in the summer of 2010. In December 2011, their first child, Madelyn Grace Sharp, was born.
And now — even more attractive photos!
If you’re still not feeling properly motivated this Monday morning, check out these videos featuring Sharp:
