Dancing with the Stars Week 4: Who Held On For One More Day?

If you read our recap of Dancing with the Stars Monday night, you know that Cher broke out in tears in the audience watching her son, Chaz Bono, deliver a monster comeback with his Paso Doble to the Rocky theme. Previously on the verge of elimination, Chaz scored straight 7s this week, his best performance so far.

I was busting out the waterworks Monday night, too — not at Chaz’s performance, but rather at the Bears’ offensive line during Monday Night Football.

And even though his ex-fiance, Kristin Cavallari, was voted off last week, I’m pretty sure Bears QB Jay Cutler wishes he was in the audience again, instead of running away from Lions’ defensive line all night. Heck, even I wish I’d been doing anything but taking another sip every time the Bears committed a false start.

But I digress …

Chaz made it through to Week 5, once again, as did “the loser brother who has never had a job before” Rob Kardashian, after being given a scare early in the show when told he was in jeopardy.

Fresh off another strong performance in which she received all 8s for her Foxtrot to Toy Story’s ”You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” Hope Solo sailed through to the next week as well.

She no doubt got an extra boost from voters who received ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issue in their mailboxes this week. Why did I get stuck with the version with Jose Reyes on the cover? Hmph!

In the end, it came down to Chynna Phillips and Nancy Grace, both of whom scored 21 out of 30 from the judges.

Could Chynna and her partner Tony hold on for one more day, even though she forgot her routine? Not this time. The two couldn’t tango their way into a second chance, and so we’ll see Nancy back next week, once again battling to stay out of the basement.

Have you been watching? Who do you think will be the next to dance, trip or tumble their way off the show? We’ll be back with you next week to find out!

And now, to peruse that Body Issue …
