Eli Manning gets a new day job

Eli Manning was seen working the drive-thru window at a New York Dunkin’ Doughnuts after he signed a promotional partnership with the company. You can watch a video of him taking orders and manning the drive-thru here.

I think Eli did a nice job of handing out orders in the drive-thru. Perhaps this is his fall back career?

Adidas cancels the release of the shackle sneaker

Yes, that’s right, this sneaker has velcro shackles attached to them.

This sneaker was designed from a collaboration between Adidas Originals and designer Jeremy Scott. Adidas pulled the shoes after receiving many complaints that the shoes were inappropriate and offensive because they resembled slave chains or prison shackles.

In an email to Today.com, Adidas states:

“The design of the JS Roundhouse Mid is nothing more than the designer Jeremy Scott’s outrageous and unique take on fashion and has nothing to do with slavery. Since the shoe debuted on our Facebook page ahead of its market release in August, Adidas has received both favorable and critical feedback. We apologize if people are offended by the design and we are withdrawing our plans to make them available in the marketplace.”

I honestly can’t imagine these would be too comfortable to wear.

Player arrested at College World Series

According to the Omaha police, John Holland, a freshman at Florida State, and his brother Steven Holland were arrested under the suspicion of changing the price tags on items in an attempt to purchase the goods for a lower amount.

The incident took place at a vendor tent across the street from TD Ameritrade Park where the College World Series is being played.

John Holland was the designated hitter for Florida State in both of its games. He has been suspended indefinitely from the team.

Florida State coach released a statement saying:

“The young man in question, John Holland, made a serious error in judgment. Due to a violation of team rules, he has been suspended indefinitely. The university will have no further comment on the situation.”

Poor judgement on his part. He’s ruined his baseball career.
