Monday Mid-Day Motivation: THE GIANTS WIN THE WORLD SERIES

THE SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS ARE THE 2012 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!!!! AHHHHHH.

If you need some motivation to get up after a long night of celebrating, I’m sure Hunter Pence could give you a “pump up” speech.  I hear they are pretty good. » Continue reading “Monday Mid-Day Motivation: THE GIANTS WIN THE WORLD SERIES”

Around the Web Wednesday: OSU v Purdue Marching Bands

I seriously can’t get enough of the OSU marching band. They have come up with some pretty creative ideas and we can expect nothing less in this video. The Ohio State and Purdue University marching bands performed “End of the World” at their football game on October 20. Watch the video and enjoy!

Monday Morning Motivation: Joey Votto

After doing a MMM a few weeks ago on the Reds and Giants for clinching their divisions, I discovered the dreaminess that is one Mr. Joey Votto, 1st baseman for the Cincinnati Reds.  The Cardinals fan in me doesn’t like admitting this, but sometimes a fact is just a fact…

You can check out Mr. Votto live and in color Tuesday afternoon as the Reds take on the Giants at 4:30pm CT.  But until then, enjoy…

Friday Fail: Ohio State Edition (In Pictures!)

Earlier this morning, Ohio State’s backup QB, Cardale Jones, tweeted out this gem:

Tweet goes viral.  Not something an athlete should be saying, even if they’re thinking it, because a lot of people would gladly take thier FULL RIDE to Ohio State and NOT waste it.

Then Awful Announcing writes about it.

Then, this happens:

Followed by me getting a new follower:

So much fail, so little time.  Perhaps the OSU sports information department should tell its athletes the “hacked” excuse didn’t work for many a politician and won’t work for them.

No words.  Seriously.

Friday FAIL: Bicycle Crashes Are Hilarious

I know, I know. We’ve been slacking in the FAIL department these last few weeks. I have a lot of really awesome excuses, but that’s not why we’re here. We’re here to make fun of people doing dumb things…

So, let’s talk (now former) Red Sox manager, Bobby Valentine, shall we?

Now I could go on and on about all the insane things the skipper did over the past MLB season (seriously, poor Boston fans), but Deadspin did it better, so I’ll let you just read their take on Bobby V’s slow meltdown in Beantown. Sadly for Valentine (good for Boston), Bobby was relieved of his managing duties Thursday.  Cue “Oh, Happy Day”…

But my favorite Bobby V moment from these past few weeks has easily been him crashing in Central Park – while attempting to ride his bike – while texting with Dustin Pedroia.  Go ahead, reread that statement.  I’ll give you a second.

Around the Web Wednesday: Gangnam Style

Psy’s “Gangnam Style” is all the rage in viral video. I’ve seen several parodies pop up as well as celebrities doing it. Now the Ohio University marching band has added it to its repertoire and I must say it’s highly entertaining. Take a look.

Monday Morning Motivation: Adam Scott

When trying to find a subject for this morning’s MMM, I decided to look at golfers. With the exciting Ryder Cup this past weekend I figured we could give someone their due.

And then I found this guy…

Ladies and gents, may I present, Adam Scott.

Scott was born in Adelaide, Australia in 1980. Hmmm, an Aussie accent to go along with that face, very nice. Adam became a pro golfer in 2000.
