As tomorrow will be a busy day full of grilling and blowing stuff up in honor of the USA, I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a Happy Independence Day. What better way than a collection of Patriotic moments from the Horseshoe?
Prior to the 2009 OSU/Navy game, The Buckeyes showed their respects to the Naval Cadets by shaking hands prior to the game and by taking the field together.
At Skull Session before the game, the Alumni Band played Anchors Away in tribute.
Prior to the OSU-Miami Game on 9/11/10 – Rascal Flatts sang the National Anthem after a moment of silence. The band was founded in Columbus and two of the three members are Columbus natives.

An honorable mention as it did not take place at Ohio Stadium, but Ohio State was the opponent. Also, I was there and almost peed myself. It’s the infamous “way too low, but so freaking cool” flyover at Kinnick Stadium when OSU played Iowa in 2010.
