Christina Manning topped off her stellar career as a Buckeye with the one thing she did not have: an Outdoor National Title. In the last race of her Ohio State career, she brought home the gold in the 100m hurdles with a time of 12.89. She was the National Runner-Up in the same event last year. Manning edged out a duo from Clemson for the Title. Brianna Rollins ran a 12.91 and Bridgette Owens clocked in at 13.10.

Manning was also 1/4 of the 4X100m relay team that placed fourth in Des Moines. Ohio State finished 21st as a team, which is their highest finish in Outdoor track since 2001.

Manning also has the 60m Hurdle National Indoor Championship on her resume this year. She brought that home with a time of 7.91.

What’s next for Manning? Well, it may very well be Olympic glory. Manning has the fastest American time in the 100m hurdles this year with a 12.68 and a wind-aided time of 12.57. She will be competing at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials in Eugene, Ore. Heats are scheduled for June 22-23.
