Buckeye Friday Factoids – Wisconsin

  • Ohio State has already clinched at least a tie for the Leaders Division championship. Wisconsin has clinched the spot in the championship game. Remember UCLA vs USC last year? Yeah, this could be like that if OSU wins.
  • This is a game of strength vs. strength as both teams have strong rushing offenses and the top two rush Ds in the B1G.
  • Six of Urban Meyer’s 11 teams have won ten games or more.
  • Urban Meyer is 32-2 when given more than one week to prepare for an opponent, Ohio State is 12-9 all-time after a bye.
  • Ohio State is one of only four unbeaten teams in FBS. They are ranked behind two one-loss teams in the AP. Of course they are.
  • Ohio State is ranked 6th in the AP. They are unranked in the coach’s poll due to NCAA sanctions, more specifically the bowl ban.
  • Wisconsin RB Montee Ball needs only two TDs to become the all-time NCAA record holder.
  • Fun fact about Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema: He has a tattoo of a rival B1G school on his left calf, more specifically Iowa. He got this after receiving a scholarship his Sophomore year with the Hawkeyes.
