Pigskin Cover 3: Bradford Doesn’t Practice Again
It’s Friday and I’m finally getting to check out my fantasy teams for week 7. Sounds like I have a lot of scrambling to do and probably a couple of days late. Waiver wires have been picked over already so I’ll just have to deal with what’s left.
I already knew about my RB LeGarrette Blount being out, and a few players being on bye this week but now I hear that I’ll have to replace my favorite kicker, OAK Sebastian Janikowski, for the next few weeks. So I’ll be searching for a kicker and a new TE because my starting TE NYG Jake Ballard is on a bye.
For my RB replacement I’ve plugged in, Earnest Graham, Blount’s back up. That’s why you handcuff, folks. For a replacement kicker I dug up Falcons K, Matt Bryant, who will be going up against the Bears this Sunday in London.
This may seem like a homer pick but of the remaining TE’s Lance Kendricks is the only one that jumps out at me. Just a hunch. Or you can call it woman’s intuition. Let’s see how it goes this week.
Looks like Sam Bradford sat out again on Friday.
So, the whole who’s the 3rd/emergency QB for the Rams. It totally came to me last night that the Rams have Tom Brandstater on the practice squad! Can’t believe I could forget a household name like that.
Bradford was sporting his walking boot as he was held out of practice for a third consecutive day. It’s not looking like he’ll be getting the start in Dallas. Spags says he’s listed as day-to-day which means he’s out but we’re not making it official so the Cowboys can’t plan accordingly. For any of you who have Sam Bradford on your fantasy team (at this point in the season you really shouldn’t have him…) just take him off now.
Round table on the potential one-two punch of Lloyd-Clayton for the Rams
Just when we thought things were looking up for the Rams offense with the addition of WR Brandon Lloyd and the return of Mark Clayton (although they are not going to activate him this week) QB Sam Bradford goes down with a high ankle sprain.
Why do the Rams have such rotten timing? I can’t wait to have all the starters healthy at the same time. I think we deserve to find out what a potent team the Rams can be at full strength.
Dallas RB Felix Jones out for Sunday.
Looks like Cowboys RB Felix Jones has been ruled out for Sunday’s game with wait for it… a high ankle sprain. Sound familiar? Dallas will be using the RB by committee with DeMarco Murray and Tashard Choice against the Rams.
