With the 14th overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft, the St. Louis Rams select LSU DT Michael Brockers.
The 411 from Rotoworld’s Evan Silva: “6’5/322. 35-inch arms. 84-inch wingspan. Some Richard Seymour comps, but just 2 career sacks, 11 TFL, 2 FFs.”
He could be very welcomed by DE Chris Long. Plug up the middle so Long can make a run at the opposing QBs.
But Brockers is going to have to shave that beard and grow a stache to fit in at Rams Park.
The Rams acquired the 6th pick from the Washington Redskins in a blockbuster pre-draft trade on March 9. The Redskins and Rams swap their respective first round picks (Rams surrendered the second overall pick). The Rams also receive the Redskins 2012 second round pick (39 overall) as well as two future first round picks (2013 and 2014).
During the draft they traded down to 14 with the Cowboys for an extra 2nd round pick .
The Rams now boast #33, #39 and #45 picks. Please get a good WR with one of those. Thanks.
