Congratulations to Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, LB Clay Matthews, and C Jeff Saturday for all being named to the Pro Bowl this year, Rodgers being named as a starter! Nothing quite says thank you for an awesome season and being amazing players than sending them on a Hawaiian getaway along with being able to represent the NFC in a game with all of the NFL greats of the season! This will be Rodgers’ third Pro Bowl, Matthews’ fourth, and Saturday’s sixth.

What About Flynn?

While every football fan in America is waiting around for Peyton Manning to make his decision about what team he is going to play for and how that will affect their team, the Matt Flynn situation has been somewhat overlooked…but today that may have changed.

There has been constant talk of Manning visiting and talking to Arizona, Miami, Tennessee, and Denver, but today it was announced that the 49′ers are just as interested in him, and that Miami is pretty well out of the mix, according to ESPN’s Adam Shefter.

Miami however, is one of the teams that Matt Flynn may very well end up at. To me that makes the most sense, but Flynn has also been meeting with the Seattle Seahawks. But with Miami not a front runner for Manning, it could definitely end up being Flynn’s new home.

Also today Packers former Pro- Bowler, center Scott Wells, signed with the St. Louis Rams.

Of course any team should be proud to sign Flynn or Wells, but Green Bay has been pretty quiet thus far during free agency…but when you think about it, you can’t blame them.

They were the champs of last years Super Bowl XLV, and went 15-1 on the regular season this past year…definitely nothing to complain about.

Although Green Bay hasn’t made any huge moves yet during free agency, it’s not over…so for now just sit back and enjoy watching other teams negotiate, sign players to huge contracts, and soak in all the exciting things happening around the league.

Pro Bowl From The Packers Perspective

In last night’s Pro Bowl, the AFC defeated the NFC 59-41. Of course, we were hoping for and NFC win, but at least our Packers went our there and had a good time, and made a few great plays of their own.

The first two TD’s scored by the NFC were passes from Aaron Rodgers to Arizona WR Larry Fitzgerald. In the 2nd quarter, Drew Brees threw a touchdown pass to Greg Jennings. B.J Raji and Charles Woodson also made some great tackles on defense, along with an early INT from Clay Matthews. This game is all about fun, and something for the players who don’t make it to the Super Bowl to look forward to. I think we can all agree that it was awesome to see some of our guys out there playing one more time before the season comes to a close, even if the rules are a bit ridiculous, and they don’t get to play like they would in a regular game.

Another thing that was really interesting about this Pro Bowl was the fact that the players were able to live Tweet! I was a little disappointed that there weren’t as many Tweets going on as I had thought there would be, but I absolutely loved what Greg Jennings had to say! Have a look for yourself.

Glad to see Jennings was having a good time out there!

We also can’t forget about Mike McCarthy representing Green Bay as the Head Coach of the NFC team. That’s quite an honor, even if they fell to the AFC ( this game is all in fun remember, so it’s okay :D).

It was nice to see some of our Green Bay boys take the field one more time before the season officially comes to an end. Although the Packers didn’t make it to the Super Bowl again, they has a 15-1 record in the regular season, and there is something to be said for that. Here’s to another amazing Packers season!! GO PACK GO!
