Packers Win 28-27 Against Saints In Week 4

Coming off of that terrible loss Monday night against the Seahawks, the Packers needed to come back this week with a win, and they did just that. It was such a close game, but they were able to pull off a 28-27 win over the New Orleans Saints.

The two teams kept  going back and forth between the game, but the Packers were able to hold on and win due to a failed field goal attempt by the Saints.

James Jones accounted for 2 of the touchdowns for the Packers today. One on a 12-yard, and one on  a 14-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers. Jordy Nelson scored on an 11-yard pass from Rodgers in the fourth, and in the second quarter Aaron Rodgers threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Greg Jennings, only one of my favorite receivers ever! :)

And is if Monday night wasn’t enough, the Packers had more issues with the officials today. Marques Colston caught a 20-yard touchdown, and got away with pushing Morgan Burnett before making the catch. That was only one of the problems, but all is well that ends well I guess.

Either way, a win is a win, and Green Bay got it . After the game today, the Packers record is now 2-2.

Next week they will head to Indianapolis to take on Andrew Luck and the Colts.

Checking in on the rest of the NFC North, the Minnesota Vikings won over the Detroit Lions in the divisional game, and the Chicago Bears will visit the Dallas Cowboys tonight on MNF.

Here is a portion of Roger Goodell’s statement, according to ESPN.com

“It is the obligation of everyone, including the players on the field, to ensure that rules designed to promote player safety, fair play, and the integrity of the game are adhered to and effectively and consistently enforced,” Goodell said. “Respect for the men that play the game starts with the way players conduct themselves with each other on the field.”
