Congratulations to Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, LB Clay Matthews, and C Jeff Saturday for all being named to the Pro Bowl this year, Rodgers being named as a starter! Nothing quite says thank you for an awesome season and being amazing players than sending them on a Hawaiian getaway along with being able to represent the NFC in a game with all of the NFL greats of the season! This will be Rodgers’ third Pro Bowl, Matthews’ fourth, and Saturday’s sixth.

Packers Joke With Jeff Saturday

photo from espnmilwaukee.com

Thursday was the last day of mini-camp for the Packers, but some of the players thought they should have a little fun of their own. Jeff Saturday of the Packers claims that he has always received jokes about his last name, but I’d say this one topped most of them.

On the left Evan Dietrich-Smith, left guard, sported a Friday jersey, while right guard Josh Sitton rocked the Sunday jersey.

Via Jason Wilde of ESPN Wisconsin, Saturday said,

“I think I’ve heard or seen pretty much all the Saturday jokes.”

Well I don’t think he has seen this one before! I find this absolutely hilarious and just had to share!

Green Bay Signs Two Former Colts

Photo from biographyplayers.com

Former Colts C Jeff Saturday is headed to Green Bay!

The Packers traded C Scott Well to the St. Louis Rams, and now has the 13 season veteran on the roster. So far in his career Saturday started 188 games, all in Indianapolis.

He signed a two-year deal with the Packers worth 7.75 million, including 4 million this season.

In addition to signing Saturday, Green Bay also picked up former Colts DT Daniel Muir.

Muir was with the Colts from 2008-2011 and had 26 starts. Muir entered the league as a non-drafted free agent with Green Bay in 2007 before spending the next four seasons with the Colts.

And as a side note, the official Green Bay Packers website and Sports Illustrated  have teamed up to create this amazing slideshow of all the previous Green Bay cover stories. Click here to see it for yourself. It’s definitely something that you don’t want to miss, and that any Packers fan will truely enjoy!
