Recap Of Packers Preseason Game #2
Well guys, I’m going to say it one more time. We are still in PRESEASON. There is no reason to panic as of right now. Maybe this is just my own observation, but I’ve noticed that the teams that do really well in the regular season didn’t do so hot the preseason. We’re just saving it all for when it really counts…let’s go with that!

But anyway, to start off the game, it wasn’t too bad. The 20 yd pass from Aaron Rodgers to Jordy Nelson to score the first touchdown of the game was beautiful. After that not so much…Aaron will get there before the regular season.
The remaining points scored by Green Bay came from a 34 yd field goal by Wolfert in the 4th quarter. With that, the Cleveland Browns won the game 35-10.
Another thing to keep in mind though is that the first string does not play for a significant amount of time during these games. Aaron Rodgers only played the first quarter and then Grant Harrell took over. Harrell then threw two interceptions. Adam Schefter said this morning on SportsCenter that Green Bay may possibly be looking to get another back up QB. Then he went on to throw Colt McCoy’s name out there…who we got to see last night as well. I don’t know if that is even something the Packers are even talking about, but that’s what Schefty said!
Head Coach Mike McCarthy had his own thoughts on the game last night. According to Vic Ketchman of Packers.com, McCarthy said,
“You don’t brush anything off. What’s concerning is the final score. You play to win, but you have other goals. The quality might not be what you want, but we’ll let the tape tell us that. It’s important for the team to grow. We turned the ball over too much. It’s something that needs to stop. We have to take care of the football. It was, indeed, a preseason game in every sense of the word, but the regular season is drawing near. “
Amen Coach McCarthy. I’m one to always looks at the positives, but he said it perfectly with that last statement. A preseason game in every sense of the word, but the regular season is drawing near. That could not have been said more perfectly.
Next Thursday the Packers will take on the Cincinnati Bengals in search of their first preseason win.
While every football fan in America is waiting around for Peyton Manning to make his decision about what team he is going to play for and how that will affect their team, the Matt Flynn situation has been somewhat overlooked…but today that may have changed.![385541_2213812107340_1308660367_32150849_767950554_n[1]](http://aeryssports.com/the-pack-attack/files/2012/01/385541_2213812107340_1308660367_32150849_767950554_n1-97x150.jpg)
