For the last 11 seasons, Marquette men’s basketball has finished in the top 25 for attendance at games. For the 2011-2012 season they finished 13th in the nation, averaging 15,138 fans per game.

According to gomarquette.com, the consistent performance can be attributed to the students who purchase tickets. They state that approximately half the student population purchases season tickets on an annual basis.

Over three million fans attended Big East games last season. Marquette ranks third on that that list just behind Syracuse and Louisville.

Let’s hope Marquette can keep up this trend.
