So, I was scrambling around trying to figure out how I was going to make up content for a team that has no postseason and then it hit me – Why not relive some awesome times from this past season? There’s been a lot of memorable times and that’s how these series was born.
#10 – Adam Pardy’s Breakaway Goal vs. Blues – January 26th, 2011
Why? Because it was beautiful. Olli Jokinen snags the puck away from a Blues player and feeds it perfectly to a streaking Pardy down the ice. Pardy, who had been looking for his first goal of the season, goes on a partial breakaway and snaps it past Ty Conklin, putting the Flames up 3-0!
Hey, here’s a link to the video since WordPress is harshing my mellow and not letting me embed it!
I couldn’t find a youtube video of just the goal, so you get entire game highlights, but it’s worth it to see Pardy’s goal. Seriously, how pretty was that? For a player who got a ton of crap by Flames fans for being a little weak defensively, I gotta say my adoration for Adam Pardy grew a tiny bit after this goal. What can I say, I’m a sucker for beauties. ;)
There you have it, #10 on my Top 10 Flames Memories of this season. What will be next?! The curiosity must be killing you. Stay tuned…
