What Is Goaltending? What Is Defence? Pens Beat Habs 7-6 in OT.

Brandon Sutter scores in overtime at the Bell Centre

You get a goal! And you get a goal! EVERYBODY GETS A GOAL!

Brandon Sutter beat Carey Price just 52 seconds into overtime at the Bell Centre to beat the Habs 7-6. The Habs and Pens combined for 13 goals and not really any good defence or good goaltending for that matter.

The goal scorers for the Habs were, in order, Brandon Prust, Max Pacioretty, P.K. Subban, David Desharnais and Brian Gionta (2 goals). The goal scorers for the Penguins were Brandon Sutter (2 goals), Chris Kunitz (2 goals), Matt Cooke (2 goals), and Sidney Crosby.

On a positive note, the Habs are now undefeated in regulation in 10 games, making it the first time they have done that since the 1993-1994 season. Also, this was the first time since March 24th, 2008 when there were 12 goals or more scored at the Bell Centre.

Head coach Michel Therrien commented on the game tonight by saying: “This is the kind of game that gives you gray hair. At least we went to get a point.” However the Canadiens don’t get much of a break, as they leave tonight for Boston to face the Bruins at TD Garden on Sunday at 7:30.
