This is the problem with being a Houston Astros fan right now. I like postseason baseball. It’s exciting, it’s fun, it’s energetic, it’s everything that’s good about this sport. But when your favorite team finishes the season dead last, there is no October cheering.
Now I’m faced with the dilemma of whom I should cheer for the rest of this postseason. There are some that I just can’t bring myself to cheer for…figure it out, I’m an Astros fan.
Who do YOU think I should cheer for and why?

Gotta be the Giants – after that 3 game sweep/comeback vs the Reds, plus the win last night against Holliday’s Thugs – they’re the one to root for,
Their bullpen in the last three innings in game 5 of the DS were nerveless – it’s what October baseball is all about. Lovin’ it even without the stros presence.

Gotta root for the Nats! Our new manager needs a ring (just like our new G.M. got one last year)

Anyone but StL and NYY, because duh!!
I’m rooting for Cincy, becuase of all the NL Central teams I’d be alright with them winning it all. I’m okay with the Nationals too.
Since the A’s will be a new division rival in 2013, I will not root for them.

I want the NL Central to have a good showing. Lots of people claim that is the weakest division so its kind of an underdog thing. Not so much that the Astros came out of that division…but a little. So I guess the Reds and Cards are who I hope do well. As for the AL, anyone but the Yankees.

I’m personally rooting for Cincy and Baltimore because I figure that World Series would probably get the worst ratings and would, therefore, give Bud Selig the maximum amount of heartburn.
