Sunday Morning Blitz: The most “important” game of the year

Uniforms for the 2014 Pro Bowl. Futuristic.

It’s another Sunday in this NFL season. Today, the most important game of the year takes place. It is none other than the Pro Bowl. Yes folks, it’s a really, really, really important game. For those who are unfamiliar, the Pro Bowl is a football game where the winner gets home field advantage in the World Series. They have skills contests like the three-point competition and the home run derby and it’s played on a hockey rink. Look, just humor me for a little bit. This is the second to last Sunday of football we’ll have for about seven months.

Anyway, the Pro Bowl will be later this evening on the National Broadcasting Channel. The coverage starts at 7 p.m. ET on NBC. Besides, you’ll probably be watching that, instead of the Grammy’s. Right? RIGHT!?

Onto some news though.

Late word came Saturday that Nick Caserio will be staying put in New England, instead of being the next general manager for the Miami Dolphins, according to the NFL Network.

Meanwhile, it looks like former Lions Coach Jim Schwartz has a new home. Schwartz was hired by the Buffalo Bills this weekend.

There are some who have concerns about the new Pro Bowl format, reports USA Today.

The Edmonton Sun has a feature on Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen.

If you’re trying to decide on who to root for in the Super Bowl, maybe this article can help you.

I guess the city of Baltimore is having some difficulty in picking who to root for. WHATEVER!

Enjoy your Sunday! Oh and make sure you have your tennis balls ready for that time during the third quarter when the TV announcers announce what you’re supposed to do with them.
