With the 41-31 win over the Wildcats, Stoops cemented his Sooner legacy by becoming the All-time winningest coach in school history, winning No. 158. He surpassed the great Barry Switzer after tying his 157-win record last week against Iowa State.

The win must have been a little surreal for Stoops considering how most had already put an “L” up on the board for this game and assumed he would break the record next season. (The Sooners play Oklahoma State on the 7th, that’s why the next season assumption.)

It was around 22 degrees in Manhattan, KS yesterday and a couple of the players decided that Bobby needed a Gatorade bath after his big accomplishment. Hand to the man for his get away skills because he took off and was greeted by one of his mentors, Bill Snyder. Of course the players aren’t going to give a Gatorade bath to Stoops when it’s 20 out while he standing next to the Wizard of K-State.

Congrats to Stoops on making history with this Sooner team that is easily forgettable in 2013 – That’s a job well done.
