  • Hines Ward in "The Dark Knight Rises"

    Run Hines, ruuuuuuuuun!

“The Dark Knight Rises” premiered over the weekend, thus launching the silver screen debut of a few Steelers both past and present. I managed to catch a glimpse of Hines WardBen RoethlisbergerBrett Keisel, Bretty Keisel’s beard, and Mike Wallace. I certainly hope the Academy keeps these brief, but stirring performances in mind come Oscar season.

  • In non-Batman news, the Steelers recently re-signed Max Starks. Starks will provide depth and veteran leadership to an offensive line that has gone under a major overhaul this offseason.
  • Speaking of the offensive line, the overhaul continues. The Steelers have cut OT Jonathan Scott. Scott was the starting left tackle at the beginning of the season last year, but was eventually replaced when the Steelers re-signed Max Starks in the middle of the season.

Hines Ward in "The Dark Knight Rises"

Run Hines, ruuuuuuuuun!

In case you live in a cave (like myself), the latest trailer for “The Dark Knight Rises” has been released.

This trailer features plot points and characters and such. Most importantly it features Heinz Field all decked out in its Gotham Rogues glory.

Hines Ward is the lone Steeler featured in the trailer. He manages to take a kickoff, avoid the would-be tacklers, dances around the spots where the field is getting blown up, and run the ball in for a touchdown. I just hope it doesn’t get called back on an illegal block in the back.

If you are so inclined, you may view the trailer here:
