The Pittsburgh Steelers gave one of their receivers a nice long-term deal, and it wasn’t Mike Wallace.
The Steelers announced yesterday that they have signed Antonio Brown to a 5-year contract extension. Brown is now signed through the 2017 season. The deal is worth $42.5 million with an $8.7 million signing bonus.
Meanwhile talks have broken down with Mike Wallace and the Steelers refuse to negotiate until he signs his tender.
This is starting to read like a Goofus & Gallant strip. Goofus doesn’t sign his tender and holds out from training camp. Gallant attends training camp and gets a five year contract extension that was probably offered to Goofus.
