Tragedy in Three. . .

So Chris Sale didn’t have it today. As usual, the offense not around. Mr. Kate Upton was pitching in Minnesota.

It all results in a tragic number of  three. There is still hope, though it grows fainter with each passing game. With the latest loss, all I hear is the following song’s chorus.

Enjoy!

It is official now. Both the Indians and Twins have been eliminated from post season play. But of course, that is really not the big news of the day. No, that is that the Sox won and for the moment have a 1.5 game lead over the Tigers who will begin play against the Indians shortly. » Continue reading “The High Wire: White Sox 5 Twins 3″

A New Monster

Lately, this season appears that the White Sox were finally starting to get over their fear of the Boogey Man. They actually did quite well against them this season as opposed to previous season. However, they have since found another monster that they just can’t get past: The Detroit Tigers. Tonight was yet another embarrassment. Final score of 14-4. The Tragic Number is now at Five. All around, it was an ugly night.

Twenty-one hits. Fourteen runs. Letting some young kids get a chance to prove what they can do. We had it all in the game tonight. Things had a bit of promise early on when the Sox scored first in the game in the first inning. Then again in the second inning. Then they stopped. The Monster scored three times in the third and kept going. The big blow coming in the sixth inning when they put up a six spot. I’ll spare you the details as you can read the box score, but needless to say, this is just a terrible way to end the season of late. Thank goodness there are still eight home games left for the team to put on good performances for the fans. » Continue reading “A New Monster”

Happenings At 35th & Shields

Hope you are all doing well. The tragic number is at nine games right now. It could be worse, but the Sox did win yesterday’s game in the most amazing fashion. This of course, after numerous bases-loaded situations. In any event, later today, the Sox can try to make sure their tragic number doesn’t shrink to nothing.

As the season draws to a close, there are plenty of ridiculous things that are going on with the Sox. Here are the highlights of recent stuff.

So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen goodbye. Jake “Dirt Bag” Peavy is done for the season. Does this really matter at this point? » Continue reading “Happenings At 35th & Shields”
