Why does the loss tonight feel so awful? In reality, fans shouldn’t have been expecting too much from the Sox this season. However, they’ve played so well that they just make us drink their kool-aid and we just expect wins now.

Unfortunately that didn’t happen tonight as Bruce Chen got the better of the Sox and picked up his first win in eight tries of late. Final of 5-2 and it was rather un-fun to watch.

The game didn’t start of particularly well for Jake Peavy as he walked the first two batters. Fortunately, he managed to allow no runs in the first inning. In the bottom of the inning, it was looking pretty promising for the Sox when Gordon Beckham led off the game for the Sox with a solo home run.
