Scoreboard Watching: White Sox 6 Twins 0

continuing domination

The maintained their one-game lead in the AL Central tonight. They actually took care of business with the Twins limiting them to just four hits and no runs. The Sox could have done a ton of damage, but they didn’t after having the bases loaded a couple of times. At least they did score at least one when the bases were loaded. Each time it happened, the team was only able to add just one run to the tally.

As for Chris Sale, he did collect is 17th win of the season. The big problem for Chris in his recent losses has been walks. When he is walking guys, he is off his game and not being dominant. Tonight, that was not the case as he didn’t allow any free passes to Twins hitters. He went six strong innings in the game and struck out five hitters. In all, he threw 99 pitches, 65 for strikes.

As for the scoreboard, the Tigers behind a strong pitching performance by Justin Verlander beat the Indians by a final of 4-0. It is going to be a long next 19 games to close out the season. The Indians and Twins each now have a tragic number of one. Kind of nice that the Sox can end the season for the Twins officially.
