Dirt Bag actually got some run support. As in nine runs of it today in the Sox’s 9-2 win over the Twins. The Sox also ended up taking the season series from the them with winning 14 of the games with today’s sweep.

The Twins were the first ones to strike in the scoring when Dandruff Boy hit a solo shot in the first inning. However, the Sox would come right back to even things up and go ahead in the third inning. The big eruption would occur in the sixth inning. Adam Dunn led off with his 39th home run of the season. Alex Rios would follow up with a triple and then Tank hit another home run.

Good job, but then all crazy broke loose when the Cuban Missile would reach base on a Pedro Florimon error. That would eventually lead to more runs scoring for the Sox. In total, 11 men would bat in the inning. It was nice to see the offense step up and help out Jake with a little breathing room.

As for Jake, he was pretty good in his start. He did run into some trouble in the fifth inning, but he survived it. In total, he pitched six innings giving up just four hits, two runs (both earned) one walk and he had six strikeouts.

For those who are scoreboard watching (and you all should be) the Indians are up on Dirty Beast at the moment. Hopefully they can continue that so that the Sox will have a two-game lead going into tomorrow’s make up game. That game will be at 1:10 pm CDT so be sure to tune in to root on our guys.
