-With things winding down in the trade market you’d think the Lightning wouldn’t have much to report on. However the Lightning’s home was recently recognized. Pollstar magazine’s mid-year awards ranked the Tampa Bay Times Forum second in the United States based on the number of tickets sold for concerts, events and family shows at venues seating 15,001+. The Forum was also ranked the 15th best venue in the world.

This is also the second time this off season that the Times Forum was honored, the other being when they earned the award for “Best Sports and Entertainment Facility” at the Tampa Bay Sports Commission Sneaker Soiree back in May.

- Today also marked the first day of Bauer Pro Camp, a camp that our very own Steven Stamkos is participating in. Bauer Hockey (@BauerHockey) even tweeted a photo of Stamkos and Philadelphia Flyers forward Claude Giroux on a roller coaster together which can be seen here. Looks like Stammer’s enjoying the coaster more than Giroux!
