Andre is that you?

As I was settling in to enjoy another night of watching the London Olympic games, the men’s gold medal beach volleyball game was on the NBC Sports Network. Germany battled against Brazil and eventually took the title in three sets. It was an exceptional match with a lot of amazing plays.

The most amazing thing may have been the resemblance between Alison Cerutti of Brazil and former Lightning left winger Andre Roy. The photo above may not be the best comparison, but it was pretty uncanny as I watched the game unfold.

Since retiring from hockey, Andre has gone on to work for the RDS network. I suppose it’s possible he could have expanded into beach volleyball. Not that Quebec is exactly known for their long stretches of white, sandy beaches.
