Here at Aerys Soccer, Wednesday’s Midweek Muscles is about featuring players we not only respect for their talents on the pitch, but for their smokin’ hot looks. This week’s player fits in that category pretty damn perfectly we think. And after the stellar run she just had with the U.S. Women’s National Team in Vancouver, qualifying for the Olympics in London, it only seems right to pick her. We’re talking, of course, of the lovely and fabulous, Alex Morgan.
There are only two schools of thought to have with Alex; you can think she’s absolutely adorable or incredibly hot. Heck, you can even say she’s both because let’s face it, she is. She’s a hell of a soccer player too. She’s been known as the USWNT’s “super sub” during the women’s world cup last summer and in the recent qualifying matches in Vancouver. She got a start in the last game against Canada and not only notched the first goal of the game and a another in the second half, but she picked up two assists to Abby Wambach during the match as well.
The 22-year-old California native is affectionately called “Baby Horse” by fans and is listed on the squad for the Western New York Flash in the Women’s Professional Soccer League. She can always be spotted sporting her pink headband too.
All in all, we think Alex is pretty bad-ass on and off the pitch. Talented, gorgeous, and tons of other adjectives, we aren’t afraid to say we have a crush on her, and we’re pretty sure we’re not the only ones admitting the same.
We of course saved the best picture for last…

Alex joined fellow teammate Heather Mitts as they become GNC Live Well ambassadors. Alex definitely shows off in her promotional ad for the campaign and we can't blame her.
Be sure to cheer on Alex and the rest of the USWNT this summer in London! And follow Alex on Twitter at @alexmorgan13 and follow the footy girls at @AerysSoccer for all your soccer headlines, news and Midweek Muscles features!
