During internationl week, a few of Real Madrid’s players were injured. Marcelo, Alvaro Arbeloa and Fabio Coentrao were all injured while they were with their respective national teams. Of the 3, the most serious injury was Marcelo’s broken foot, which rules him out for up to 3 months. With this many injuries, people wondered how Real Madrid would do in their next La Liga match. Well, they won 2-0 against the newly promoted Celta Vigo.
This wasn’t Real Madrid’s best performance at all! They only had 3 shots on goal throughout the whole match. That was enough for them however, as they were able to score 2 goals. The first goal came from Argentine Gonzalo Higuain. Apparently, he’d meant to cross the ball, instead he ended up scoring. Later on, Cristiano Ronaldo doubled Madrid’s lead after scoring a penalty.
Here’s one of the goals from the game. It might’ve been an accidental goal, but it was still pretty great!
