Midweek Muscles: Michael Ballack

So, today was the first day without any Euro match ups. If you were like me, you thought you might pull your hair out from boredom. I mean, who doesn’t love an entire day of footy games? I know it was amazing for me. And it hasn’t just been the matches and goals that have been awesome. Oh no. It’s all the fabulously attractive players we’ve been able to see more off during the summer. We’ve featured a few. But since today was an off day, I thought we could focus on one of the tournament’s commentators and a former international player himself, Michael Ballack.

Now, other than looking daper as all hell on ESPN as an analyst alongside Alexi Lalas, Michael does still play soccer. After spending four years as a starting man for EPL side Chelsea, he was released on a free contract and picked up by German side  Bayer Leverkusen.

The 35-year-old was also Germany’s captain up until 2011. He was a part of that fabulous Vanity Fair spread too. Everyone remembers that, right?

Yeah, so. German, kick ass midfielder, getting better as an analyst, looks fabulous in his skivvies. I think that about covers it. Now, let’s get to the pics!

Make sure to tune in tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. ET as the Czech Republic and Portugal square off in the first Euro 2012 quarter final match and catch Michael giving his opinion in his lovely German accent. And stick with the ladies of Aerys Soccer as we get you all your Euro 2012 news!
