Okay, so we’re getting a little MLS centric again with our Midweek Muscles. But we can’t help it when we’re watching the league and see all our favorite players on the pitch again. This week’s choice for Midweek Muscles came about when a few of our fellow Aerys Sports writers commented on a photo accompanying one of the San Jose Earthquakes recap. “Who is that guy looking incredibly adorable on the front of the soccer page?” they asked.

It’s Chris Wondolowski, and adorable doesn’t even begin to describe him, ladies.

This 29-year-old forward for the Quakes is a Cali native and damn good at his job. He won MLS’ Golden Boot in 2010 and almost clenched it again in 2011. And that’s just the very, very tip of the ice berg of accomplishments Wondo has. His MLS player profile is filled to the brim with reasons why Chris is so kick ass. And we definitely agree.

Something else you might not know about Wondo? He’s half Native American and has another name, Bau Daigh (pronounced Bowe Dye). His mother was born into the Kiowa Tribe and Chris is a member of the tribe. His name means “Warrior coming over the hill.” That’s pretty awesome.

Sadly, Chris is apparently of the breed of footballer who does not show off those abs (we know you’re hiding them Chris!), but that’s okay. His arms are still swoon worthy and our resident Quakes fan, Alyssa, has informed us she believes he sports a tattoo of a dreamcatcher on his chest.

All in all, Chris is an amazing soccer player, sweet guy and a hottie to boot.
